Central Wisconsin, known to few for it's outstanding fishing and hunting opportunities is the area that I call home. Over the past 40+ years I have made it my personal obligation to intimately learn the vast woods and abundant lakes and rivers in this area. By doing so I can provide you with an outdoor experience that you won't ever forget.
Hello, my name is Phil Schweik: I live in Mosinee Wisconsin with my wonderful and supportive wife Rhonda and our three children. In addition to being a husband and father I enjoy nothing more than fishing and hunting. My memberships to fishing organizations like Bills Musky Club keep me involved with groups of people that are as concerned about the outdoors and the environment as much as myself. My work with groups like the Kippenberg Creek Kids www.kippenbergcreekkids.com gives me the opportunity to work with and help youths and individuals that are less fortunate than us. In addition to being a licensed Wisconsin fishing and hunting guide, I am a tournament angler and director, author, seminar speaker, radio and TV personality. I am also employed at the Wausau Gander Mountain Store in the fishing department.
With this vast involvement it has given me the opportunity to become not only very experienced in the woods and on the water, but also well educated in the fishing and hunting industry. With this knowledge I am able to teach and educate children as well as adults in the fields of hunting and fishing. By spending the day with me you are not just going fishing or hunting, you are getting true: "On the Water" or "In the Woods" fishing and hunting experiences. I look forward to each and every trip in the hopes of being able to fulfill your dreams of catching that first fish or getting the trophy of a lifetime!!!

My name is Justin Gaiche and I'd love to be your guide. As Co-Founder of Hooksetters, I have taken great pride in watching our company grow, especially because of the quality guides that have become a part of it. I truely believe, this is the finest assembled group of professional fishing guides in the state of Wisconsin. Our tight-knit, family orientated group prides ourselves in the ability to not only put people on great fish, but make them feel like they're with family.
In addition to guiding with Hooksetters, I have worked for Gander Mtn for 12 years. While I often guide for smallmouth bass on the fly and walleyes in Central Wisconsin, muskies are my favorite. As a touring participant of the Wisconsin Musky Tour, I have recorded 18 top 10 finishes including the 2002 Hunter Trophy Award, 2007 Pewaukee Champs and 2008 Sam/Dam Champs. This allows me to travel the state and guide the lakes of Oneida and Vilas Co., my home waters of the Wisconsin River and in southern Wisconsin.
I have had much of my work published in magazines like: Musky Hunter Magazine, Wisconsin Outdoor Journal, Wisconsin Outdoor News, Woods N' Waters Magazine, Sportsman's Connection, Wishigan Outdoors, Midwest Fishing and Hunting News & others.
I love guiding. As much fun as tournaments, writing and speaking are, nothing gives me more pleasure than the times I get to contribute to the angling success of others. I have watched children shiver with excitement and grown men fumble words in happiness. I look at each guiding trip as an opportunity to fulfill someone's dream of "Catching the Big One like on the left!" I hope I get that chance with you.

The northwoods of Tomahawk, Wisconsin offer peace and beauty found in few places in the world. Covered with waters filled with wonderful fisheries of musky, walleye, pike and panfish, this is certainly a place you want to visit. In the center of Tomahawk is a lake with a long history of great musky fishing and it is called Lake Mohawskin. This lake is special to me because it is literally the back yard I share with my wife Heidi and our three great children. Living on Lake Mohawskin gives me daily fishing experience that makes me a successful guide and tournament angler. It is here where many clients just pull into my driveway, walk past the kid's sandbox and right into my family-friendly Ranger 618 boat.
In addition to guiding and tournaments, I also am a free lance outdoor writer, avid hunter and organize youth fishing events for Tomahawk Fishing Unlimited.
While I live on Lake Mohawskin as Hooksetter's Northern Outpost, I also spend a great deal of time fishing near by lakes like Lake Alice, Lake Nokomis, Jersey City Flowage and the Willow Flowage. With fishing like this, I can't help but want to share it with anglers.

Ben Mueller is my name and fishin’ is my ‘game’! The ‘game’ started when I was just eight years old and basically you could say I grew up on the water. I’ve lived in central Wisconsin my whole life and have had many great opportunities to fish the vast and beautiful lakes in the state.
I started competitive fishing in local contests when I was eight years old. For the next 20 plus years I continued to familiarize myself with new bodies of water and expand my fishing knowledge and techniques. In 2004 I took fishing to another level in which I started to fish professional fishing tournaments. In 2005 I took first place with fellow guide Adam Rasmussen in the World Walleye Association Tournament held in Green Bay Wisconsin. Since then I have been “hooked” on doing the best I can every time I fish.
Tournament Credits:

I guide out of a fully outfitted Ranger 620 powered by a 225hp Evinrude E-tech with state of the art equipment and electronics

Hi name is John Sparbel and I have grown up and lived in the beautiful Wausau area all my life. I am engaged to my beautiful fiance Vettie and have raised two wonderful daughters Lindsay and Megan. This area of central Wisconsin that I call home has proven to be one of the prime natural resource areas for trophy fish, with the Wisconsin River being the main attraction. Persuing trophy muskies has grown to be my passion, as there are truly some real hogs out there! Safely navigating these rivers and backwaters with all the rocks and stump fields has taken me a life-time, and a few props and lower units to learn. The time I have taken to learn the Wisconsin River and its flowages will be to your benefit, as I will guide and teach you so that you can become comfortable navigating and catching trophy muskies as well.
Along with going after trophy muskies, there are great opportunities for catching the hard fighting small mouth bass. There are many of those football sized bronze beauties here on the Wisconsin River. Want big catfish? There are many hard fighting big cats here ready to pound your offering. Walleye fishing has been getting better and better and its hard to beat a fresh fish fry of walleye and maybe a few crappies fried with a light golden batter. Add some potato salad, coleslaw and rye bread and you got the fixings for a traditional Wisconsin style fish fry made from the fish we just caught. I truly love getting kids involved in fishing and welcome the opportunity to teach young anglers the basics of fishing or more advanced techniques.
I have been featured in several magazine articles, made the cover of two. Write fishing reports and present several fishing seminars each year. I am also involved with Bill's Musky Club and help with the stocking of muskies in area waters. I volunteer for the Kippenberg Creek Kids: www.kippenbergcreekkids.com and have worked in the fishing department of Gander Mountain.
